Hello everyone.  No photos today - the camera is hiding - but here's our day:

We started the morning discussing and commenting on a survey about Exploration Friday sessions: likes, not so much, length of sessions, what else?, and similar foci to help us improve this experience next year.

Next, we started some independent descriptive writing.  We didn't get very far but will continue when we can fit it in.

The school-wide run took place just before recess.

After recess, students reviewed their notes about the St. Lawrence Lowlands for about fifteen minutes before writing the quiz.  It was going to be too rushed tomorrow and several students are going to be away so we wrote the quiz today.  Now it's out of the way and the kids don't have to think about it.

After lunch, students completed their agendas while I continued to read aloud REFUGEE.  It is quite a sobering story (three stories actually), but the kids are enjoying it.

Next, we went out for PE to practice long jump some more.  The greatest challenge is jumping without the foot going over the board!

We ended our day review types of fractions and using this information to compare.  Two pages were worked on and should be completed for tomorrow.

REMINDER: Tomorrow is spirit day so come dressed as twins, triplets, or whatever multiples you wish.

MATH HOMEWORK FROM YESTERDAY:  Fractions and decimals in our daily lives - (see yesterday for an explanation).

Off to another meeting now.
