Better late than never! It was a very busy but wonderful day... this is what we did:
First, we revisited our "knowledge" and "questions" chart about sturgeon. We checked our understanding with what we learned yesterday, and checked to see if any of our questions had been answered.
Then I read Tale of a Great White Fish written by Maggie de Vries and illustrated by Renné Benoit.
This was a wonderful story and the kids really enjoyed it! Ask them about it.
After lunch, Mr. Redding took the students to Music class to work on their songs for the year-end. (June 25th! A bright pink notice went home for parents to mark on their calendars.)
We ended our day with students working on their independent "Human Body" research. They did very well, concentrating on finding and watching videos, taking notes, drawing and labelling diagrams, and sharing resources with others. I was very impressed with their efforts.
REMINDER: Please return the plastic bag that all of your goodies were in from the PAUSE for Mental Health session last week. We will need these again to refill them with new and exciting things.
