Here's a quick overview of our day: 

The Grade Threes went with Mrs. Gadbois's class first thing this morning while the Grade Fours wrote the online Reading FSA.  They were focused and on-task, answering 30 multiple choice questions about five different stories, both fiction and non-fiction.

After recess, the entire class went to PE with Mr. Cadegan, then back to class for our discussion about the upcoming election.  Our school will be voting tomorrow morning!
We read and discussed the book Politikids  shown below.  I have provide a link to more information about the book and its creator.

We continued our reading of the book and discussion after lunch.  Thank you to those parents who are engaging their children in discussions related to our election, and government in general.

We then had some time to create a time line for this week's Power Smart focus: Travel Through Time.  Students added this to their Science notebook.

A huge thank you to the Shearing family for donating five sound-cancelling headphones for our classroom.  At times, things can get a bit noisy and some of us appreciate the quiet to help us focus, especially on new material.

We did not have library today, or get to the Inference Wednesday assignment.  Tomorrow is looking like a busy day already!
