Students were given some time this morning to work on the Greek & Latin Roots package which is due tomorrow. There will be a quiz on this Friday.
The kids had PE with Mr. Cadegan today, then recess for more play!
During Math, we had a subtraction drill followed by a Math Bingo exercise using the Kim Sutton Random Numbers 1-100 CD. After that, we practiced 'breaking numbers' to make 'friendly numbers' while adding. This was challenging for several of the students as they had to consider adding numbers in different ways.
We ran out of time to do "Plangendas" before lunch so this happened right after lunch.
Then we continued our closer look at the Water Cycle. We did a cloze activity and highlighted notes, then started to add interactive notes to our science notebooks. We will finish these up tomorrow.
We did not get to do the Six Cedar Trees Raven reflection today - we simply ran out of time before Book Exchange.
Two fundraisers are happening! Grade Sevens are having a Bottle Bring-in on Thursday.
The Leadership Students will be hosting Moonlight Madness Babysitting on Friday Nov. 29th for Arrow Heights students only!
