Good day!  Today was early dismissal - the kids leaving at 12:30 - so things were packed in and still we didn't get as much done as I had hoped.  Here's how our day looked:

First thing this morning, we reviewed the Unit 2 Greek and Latin Roots, students checking their own work.  There were several students who had not finished it, despite plenty of class time given and ample reminders about its due date.  Please support your child in completing assigned work and having it at school for marking.  Not only does it develop good work habits, they will glean more from doing than just sitting and 'watching'.  Having said that, there is a quiz on Friday; no more class time will be given.

Next, we went to Library.  The students have been learning about the features of fiction versus non-fiction books, and today started to create their own non-fiction book about our class.  They chose features to work on with a partner, and got started today.  This took us right up to recess.

After recess, they had PE with Mr. Cadegan, then  back to class for a math drill and a round of Digital Roots Cross Off.

In Science, we finished adding the notes about the Water Cycle to our notebooks, adding an interactive flip 'thing' about precipitation.

We ran out of time to play a game about the Water Cycle, so it will have to wait until tomorrow.

REMINDERS:
1. Grade 7 Bottle Bring-in tomorrow morning at 7:15

2. Hat Day Friday

3. Walking to Mount Cartier Court for Music class Friday morning!  I could still use a parent to help with this (safety walking to and fro).
