Happy Monday!  Two weeks left until winter break!  Our day was as busy as ever.  Here's what it looked like:

A thoughtful student made this magnet!

We opened up three advent calendar doors, warmed up with Just Dance Jingle Bells, and read A Christmas Story.  Today, the perspective was third-person but was a little different in that it was about a baby of the donkey who carried Mary to Bethlehem.  The artwork is amazing - also part of our overall focus.

Then, we reviewed the spelling patterns and meaning of our words this week.  The focus is short and long a sounds and tricky spellings for the long a sounds.
Some students worked on their package while others finished the good copies of their letters.

We practiced our song a few times after recess, then performed it in the gym after lunch during the run-through.

Following that, we returned to the class and learned about important lines of latitude and longitude.  This will become part of our spherical booklet eventually.
Further below are some student examples.

The Grade Fours have a nordic ski form for parents to sign, please.

Thank you for returning your Progress Profile envelopes.  If you wish to see me, please send a note in your child's planner to set up an appointment.
