Week of December 15-17, 2020

Gilakas'la!  Here's an overview of our last week of school in 2020!

Santa came to visit on our last day, wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and reminding all girls and boys to stay on the Nice List:)

We did get some work done throughout the week, completing our math drills and determining the statistics that go with the graphs.  We also continued to work on place value and value, and representing numbers five different ways.

In Language Arts, Spelling L8 focused on double consonants and syllables.  Reminders about which letters are vowels and which are consonants was needed for some students, so this is a good thing to ask your child about.

Students also learned how to finger knit so were very busy making scarves for parents and siblings.  This is a very calming activity.  Tuesday and Wednesday were especially lovely days as we balanced work and knitting.

In Culture class, the students sang I Saw Three Ships.  Unfortunately, I am unable to load the short video for you but here's a photo.

All but one student finished their Grinches this week, so here's an updated photo.  I just love these!

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a safe rest-of-the-year and 2021.  Remember to stick with the protocol for a bit longer, please.
