 Gilakas'la

The students worked especially hard this morning and accomplished a lot!  We started off with Readwell - students working at their own pace.  While reading is coming along nicely, less effort is put into the written responses, so this is something we will need to focus on.

In math, after the daily drill and graphing, students completed a second "Representing Numbers 5 Ways" package.  They are really getting the hang of this.

This afternoon, students painted 'themselves' on the snow globe on our classroom window.  There are many more students to fit into the globe!

Part of our recycling program is composting.  Adrianna and Blaire put a lot of muscle into turning the bin!  It's not easy - I have to really work at it myself.

I packed up the World Puzzle today after the kids left.  They worked really hard to get this much done. They had to fix things several times because the pieces don't actually lock together like 'normal' puzzles.  This meant that they got moved around and out of place.  I have another 'normal' style puzzle for them to work on next week so check back!

A colouring contest was brought to our attention today.  The details are posted below.  Haeden and Cassius  got started while waiting their turn to paint on the window.  (*Remember, you can click on an image to enlarge it.)
