Good afternoon.  Hopefully I will get back on track today.

We started our day with Personal Coat of Arms presentations.  I will be sending a video of your child's presentation to you via FreshGrade.

Next, we went to Library where students worked in small groups to identify the Pros and Cons of several different types of energy related natural resources.  We will continue this activity tomorrow, hopefully.

We also continued the Power Smart slideshow: "Power to Conserve" in preparation of the Week 4 quiz tomorrow!  We aren't given much time to address each aspect so rush these a little.  I do, however, want to back up a little and deepen the understanding of each concept.  For example, What are green house gases? and What does the Greenhouse Effect mean?

Jesse came in today as well, to talk "Composting"!  We are starting our own anaerobic composting system in our classroom.  Ask your child about it.

We also read the story Compost Stew.

The students had P.E. with Mr. Cadegan in there somewhere, too!

Hello, folks.

This is a day late but I wanted to keep my pictures in the correct order.  The wifi wasn't working for
me at school last night so I left, only to not have any power (or wifi) at home either.  Hence, it didn't happen until today.  "Better late than never", as the saying goes.

Grade Four students wrote the last of their FSA's today: math problem-solving and creating a bar graph. The Grade Threes joined Mrs. Gadbois's Grade Fives for some math learning and fun.

Students started their Personal Coat of Arms presentations today.  I will be sending their video presentation individually via FreshGrade, but here are some samples:

These are very creative; we are enjoying listening to each person's descriptions.
