What a busy day!
Our morning started off discussing the upcoming Immigration Project and how students might choose their method of presentation. We watched an iMovie that a previous student had made, and looked at some pictures of last year's projects.
Following that, we watched a video about the history of voting in Canada. I will link this in the videos folder.
Next, we went into the computer lab and completed an online inventory for Multiple Intelligences. The results were printed and put into their Health & Career duotang.
MATH - After recess we managed to squeeze in our math test before P.E. So far, most students are demonstrating good understanding of converting fractions to decimals, and rounding to tenths and hundredths. I also included a word problem that involved rounding.
This afternoon we added birch trees (positive space) to our patterned backgrounds (negative space); they will be on display on our bulletin board shortly.
Finally, the students chose their new seating arrangements and organized the room before heading into the computer lab to create a conversation in French using Comic Life.
And that was our day!
BOOK FAIR NOTICE went home today, so keep an eye out for that. It is bright pink!
Professional Development Day tomorrow for school district staff. I will be focusing on some technology products / applications to use with my teaching.
Have a wonderful long weekend.
