Journal Writing - I started this morning by telling the students about the town meeting I attended last night, discussing the possibility of a mall being built near Subway. Then the kids wrote in their journal about what they would like to see in a future Revelstoke. They have come up with some great suggestions thus far in my reading.
After recess, Cst. Sharp came in for D.A.R.E. Lesson #5 - Stress (what it feels like, and some coping skills). This was a good one and the kids were very interactive.
Math - Fractions - pp 42-45 of a package was assigned; many students finished during the allotted time.
French - Comment tu-t'appelles? or Comment t'appelles tu? Je m'appelle......
These questions and answers were introduced and the kids practiced amongst themselves. Then they added them to their previous conversations that included Comment ca va? They are doing amazingly well:)
