Welcome back, everyone!  I hope you had a nice long spring break, and were able to take advantage of our lovely weather.  This is it... the final three months of grade five:)

Our floors were waxed over the break, so everything had to come out of our room.  We spent the first part of our morning reviewing some math factoring and then voted on how we would set up our room.  We ended up with six groups of four (6 X 4 = 24).

After reviewing the Parts of Speech by marking our crosswords, students finished up their Hard & Fast Rules open-book quiz from before the spring break.

They also wrote in their journals about either their break, or some goals they may have for this last part of the year; I look forward to reading what they have written.

After music this afternoon, we started with the mining project presentations. Today we had Sydnie (diorama), Charley (diorama), Esteban (iMovie), and Kristian (giant brochure).  They were wonderful!  I am really looking forward to seeing the rest throughout the week.  Thank you, parents, for your support with these.

*I will try to link Esteban's movie
for your viewing:)
