Good evening!
Another busy day was had by all. We went to a concert this morning; a choir, band, and symphony from Vancouver Technical performed for us for about an hour. It was wonderful, and very well-received by the students. Before the concert, students managed to work on their Human Body units for about half an hour.
After recess, we were very busy. We added notes about making comparisons to our Interactive Notebook (cool, cooler, coolest), made some quadrilaterals on geoboards while exploring perimeter and area, and then went outside some running around.
After lunch and agendas, we considered the Real Cost of Food, part of the Beyond Recycling program for the afternoon. We started a Power Point presentation, and watched an eye-opening video (cartoon style) which we will watch again tomorrow.
*Tomorrow, watch for a waiver for a field trip to the community garden! We will be walking there and will be in need of a couple of extra chaperones.
