Good day, everyone. I hope you enjoyed your four day weekend.
On Friday, I met with fellow Grade 4-5 teachers; we discussed the newly designed curriculum, and shared what we are doing in our classrooms, especially focusing on inquiry projects. We also discussed assessment methods.
Yesterday, Monday, I attended a session that focused on incorporating Aboriginal content and perspectives into all aspects of our curriculum. I felt good about what we do in my class, although one can always do more. After that I went up to Arrow Heights School where L'école de Glacier hosted some workshops. I made a felted bookmark at the session I attended:)
Today we started off with a Math Antics perimeter package; most students completed and submitted their package. Otherwise, it is due tomorrow.
After recess and P.E., outside, we learned about Prepositions and Prepositional Phrases. We made a booklet and added it to our Interactive Notebook for Language Arts. We also listened to a song about prepositions by the Bazillions (linked below).

After lunch, Ms. Kretchmer took the kids for music, and I prepared for tomorrow. At the end of the day, we (finally) took a look at the alphabet en Français! (I say "finally" because it has been on the agenda for a while but we didn't get to it.)
And that's our day:)
