First thing this morning we marked the Math Antics area worksheets from Friday, then did some problems from the board (see photo). Next, some played "Real Estate". (Ask your child about this game.) That took us to recess.
Following recess, we played Frisbee outside, then came in to work on 'comparisons'. Students found pictures in magazines (or drew their own), compared them, then labeled them 'positive, comparative, superlative'. I have included some pictures of a couple. (Sorry, they are upside down. I may try to fix them later.)
After lunch, the students went to music with Mr. Rogers, then came back to class to continue working on their Human Body units / Independent Novel Study projects. I continued testing those kids ready to do so.
VERY IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
We have a Beyond Recycling field trip to the community garden beside the Visual Arts Centre; the green waivers must be signed and returned tomorrow morning! Permission to attend cannot be done over the phone, so please get these back to me. Wear a hat, proper walking shoes, bring a water bottle, and a good lunch. We will stop and play for a bit at Wooden Head Park on the way back:)
Swimming waivers must also be returned; I am missing them from five people. We go swimming Wednesday morning, first thing.
Wednesday is also May 4th so dress up in Star Wars theme characters.
