Good day!  We had a tease of snow today... and yes, the kids were really excited.  Still, we managed to get a lot done.

In math this morning, we started with an 'adding 9 to a random number' drill; they are really developing their fluency:)  Next, we practiced multiplying and dividing by 10.  After demonstrating a few together, one page was assigned for tomorrow.  Following that, students completed a Measurement PreQuiz for me, so that I can see where our focus needs to be going forward.

*Lastly, the Representing Numbers Five Different Ways Quiz from last week was returned.  Please look these over with your child, initial them, and return them for a bonus mark!

*I sliced open the crop, gizzard, and heart of the Ruffed Grouse; Bence labeled the parts!  [see photos below]

After recess, we went over some of the Fact & Opinion sheets we had done previously.  Then I assigned two reading to be done in class, one about the Himalayas and the other about Code Talkers.

Next we did an activity about How Our Brain Helps Us.  These they glued into their Social Thinking Interactive Notebooks.

We played basketball games in P.E., today after lunch.  I am seeing a lot of improvement in skills with the entire class.

When we returned to the class, the kids played charades where they had to guess Halloween vocabulary words en français.  This is in preparation of their booklet presentations tomorrow!!

Then it was time for book exchange, catch up, and silent reading.
