Today's Immigration Project presenters are pictured below.  Once again, we had a nice variety of immigrant stories, the earliest arriving in Canada in 1678!  Wow!

After the presentations, we listened to the following radio broadcast:

CBC DAY BREAK interview includes an interview about the OKeefe Ranch in the Okanagan which celebrates its 150th birthday [35:32], same as Canada.  I thought that this fits in rather nicely with our immigration projects and is an interesting piece of history.  http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/programs/daybreaksouth/7-8-00-am-1.3930457

Then it was time for Agendas and icecream cones (provided by Kenzie) :) Thanks for the surprise treat!

After recess, we marked / reviewed the last two pages of the metric conversion booklet, and worked on the "Muddled Measurements" worksheet.  *This is due tomorrow.

Mr. Pfeiffer took them to P.E. today; they played badminton.

After lunch, we marked the personification practice sheet, finished up the hyperbole and personification snow globes, and then worked to finish needle felting the quilt squares.  They are looking wonderful!
