Happy Friday!  Here's our day:

Reading with our 'little buddies' was how we started our morning.  Then back to class for three Immigration Project presentations.  We will have two more on Monday, and that's it.  They were different yet again today, and very interesting.  We had a poster, an oral description, and a videoed (??) interview.  Photos of two of the presenters are below. (The third escaped me!)

Cooper also gave us an update on the kittens that were born over a week ago, now, and are starting to open their eyes.
After recess and P.E. (badminton), we did some math involving measurement and metric conversions.  Students are at different stages of understanding with this metric conversion stuff; we will keep working on it.  I want the students to struggle a bit while using "king henry died by drinking chocolate milk" so that they can work through what is confusing them.  They have a lot of prefixes and base units of measure to mix together.

Then it was time for Agendas and desk clean out for the weekend.  Right after lunch was Exploration Friday (art, drama, or technology).  In art we practiced some line drawing (snowflakes) as a warm-up, then created value using line, and finally started a Zentangle piece.

Enjoy your weekend!
