Good day, everyone.

This morning, the grade fives from Mrs. Klassen's class joined us in several activities.  First, we did a drama circle activity about Growth Mindset.  Students also took turns reflecting on their learning from the experience.  Next, we looked at a quote by George Bernard Shaw: Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.  Students practiced reading this quote in cursive writing, reflected on its meaning, and wrote about a personal connection to the theme of the quote.

After recess, we had "the puberty talk".  The following videos were shown during the lesson, and students labeled diagrams as they learned about their changing bodies.  *Please ask to see your child's booklet from today's discussion so that (a) you know what we discussed, and (b) you can further the discussion with your child.

After lunch, my class played more badminton in the gym, then came back to continue working on multiplication during math (multi-digit X single-digit).

Book exchange fit in there somewhere just before the end of the day:)
