Well, I have to admit that we didn't get to a lot of academics today.  We added notes about the root ject first thing this morning, watched a short video about settling the prairies, and added The Birth of the Métis to our Immigration lap book.  Some students also worked on their Trees poems this afternoon.

After recess, both Mrs. Strange and Tina were available to get students painting the banners.  Today students added the colours to our salmon life cycle banners, and they are looking amazing! I am not showing you the completed banners here... you will have to go to the Visual Art Gallery opening next Friday to see them:)  Once the backgrounds were painted in the colours of the Medicine Wheel, Tina mixed various colours for the fish at different stages, rocks, weeds, et cetera.

The watercolour trees from yesterday are now mounted and ready for the show as well.
