Oops, almost forgot to do this.
We started off our day with a brain dance to get our bodies and brains in gear.
The students ate all of the fruit that we had dehydrated overnight! More is on the racks for tomorrow, and still more to come.
In math, we did some more drills (3 second intervals for Making Tens). We also marked / reviewed the crossword from yesterday, and worked on Word Problems. The latter is due tomorrow; most students finished during class time.
Mr. Redding took the kids to PE this morning for half an hour as part of my prep time. I'm sure that he gives them a good workout!
In Language Arts, the students worked on their Greek & Latin Roots packages; these are also due tomorrow.
This afternoon, we set up our art notebooks about the elements and principles of art. Then we completed a colour wheel before designing our lizards using complementary colours. We are calling our lizards "complimentary lizards" as they will ultimately include speech bubbles with compliments in them:) We'll see if anybody "gets" our play on words once they make it to the bulletin board.
Some students need to finish up their Zen Hands and get those into me.
Another parent helper for Friday would be helpful.
