I hope that everyone had a nice Thanksgiving weekend.

We started our day reading a book called Stepping Stones; it seemed to speak to me about being thankful.  The link to the book is below.

Then we played the 'Flyswatter game' to practice / review for the Greek & Latin Roots Units 1&2 quiz that is coming up on Thursday.  Students are responsible for knowing what each root means, and the spelling and meaning of the vocabulary words on their cards.

After recess, we continued with notes in the interactive notebook, did a one-minute timed addition drill, then played a card game involving addition.  A few students used this time to finish their math diagnostic from last week.

We also did Agendas before lunch.

After lunch, we had a quick book exchange time because we had missed ours yesterday, wrote a journal entry in their reflective journals about the weekend and something that they were thankful for, then finished the day working on their personal Coat of Arms. We should be able to present these next week.

Enjoy your evening.
