Happy New Year, one and all!

We got off to a great start today.  After music with Mr. Redding where they chose sticks to make "ugly sticks" (a Newfoundland musical instrument), we made 'fortune tellers' for 2018.  Students asked each other the questions in the fortune teller, then chose one for themselves to write about in their Reflective Journal.  The kids were to take theirs home to do it with you.

After recess we got back into multiplication with a brief review, then watched a video about multi-digit multiplication. (See Math Antics linked on this blog.)

We actually had some PE time in the gym today, despite the ongoing renovations.

After lunch we revisited Social Learning for Career Education.  We hadn't done this for a while and I would like to wrap this up so that we can explore our learning styles.

Following that we had some time to work on Holes.

Agendas and book exchange took us to the end of the day.

REMINDER:

Before the Christmas break the Written Progress Profiles went home.  If you would like to meet with me, please contact me through your child's Agenda or email (sleach@sd19.bc.ca).
Please complete the survey / response sheet that was included and return it as soon as possible.  Thank you!
