Welcome to April! April Fool's is no longer funny so the snow can stop any time:)
We had a good first day back after Spring Break and Easter weekend. Here's what it looked like:
We started our day practicing our listening skills as we shared what we did during the break. Next, students practiced their Indigenous Legend-telling. This is what they have been working on in Library with Mrs. Tomm. Filming will begin tomorrow ready so students are encouraged to bring whatever props they may need to school tomorrow. Remember, the idea is not to memorize the story cards but to retell the story as naturally as possible.
Students went with Mr. Redding to practice a special song / dance; that was their workout today!
After recess, we reviewed converting decimals to fractions. Then the kids worked on their Inuksuk (if it wasn't done already) and handed them in. Finally, they created their own designs and wrote the fractions, decimals, and percents for their key. *This is homework if not submitted already!! It is due tomorrow!
After lunch and Agendas, we started an art project called "Through the Key Hole". It is a peak at the Hopewell Rocks in the Bay of Fundy. We will finish them off later this week. I decided not to show you any pictures of these yet so you'll have to wait.
Reminder: Please remember to complete and return the Written Progress Profile Survey that was included in your child's envelope before Spring Break. Thank you for the one that I received today!
April Book orders went home, if interested. The due date is Wednesday 11th. Students can use their coupon that they received as a Valentine from me, if they like.
Enjoy your evening!
