Good day, folks. Thanks for checking in. Here's our day:
Before PE, we completed our Agendas and coloured the stars for the upcoming talent show being organized by Mr. Redding and Mrs. Strange. There will be more formal information sent home about this event soon.
After PE, we reviewed the phrases we are learning in French. They include
J'aime.... (I like...)
Je n'aime pas .... (I don't like....)
Mais, je n'aime pas .... (But, I don't like....)
Et, je n'aime pas .... (And, I don't like....)
Students are identifying different types of vegetables for this activity. They were given a worksheet; we did some translations together and they were given some class time but this will need to be completed for Friday.
Also, due Friday, is the completion of their booklet using these phrases. They started this booklet before Spring Break! Presentations will start on Friday.
In math, after multiplication & division facts drill and graphing of results, we worked on a worksheet about visual representation of fractions and decimals. This time, it included a whole number. (1.46 or 1 whole and 46/100). We added to the worksheet by lining up the decimal numbers of shaded and unshaded grids to add them up. This showed how all was accounted for, both shaded and unshaded parts. It was also a first step of adding decimals.
*This worksheet (both sides) is due tomorrow.
We had some time to continue practicing the retelling of Indigenous Legends this morning, in preparation for filming this afternoon.
Notice: We Club is starting a Battery Drive so please bring in your old, worn out batteries. These will be recycled and money earned to help others.
**You can help your child by having them retell their legend (not just memorize the cards), adding expression just as an engaging story-teller would.
