Today went quickly... here's what we did:

We starting our morning making inferences.  We read various short articles about the history of the Olympics, identifying facts in the story and then drawing inferences from them.  This is more difficult than it sounds.  The front page only was assigned for tomorrow.

At 9:30, we headed to the gym for a practice for tomorrow's surprise at Assembly.  This us to recess time.

After recess, five students headed off to the computer lab to participate in the Caribou Cup math competition so we didn't review the Canadian Shield as planned.  Instead, we worked on our art projects: a peek at Hopewell Rocks (see real images below).  Some of the art work is posted below, although they may not be fully completed yet.

In math, after the usual drill and graphing of results, we marked yesterday's fractions / decimals worksheet (pp 9-10).  Today's assignment focuses, in part, on representing tenths along with some hundredths.  Pages 11-12 are to be done for tomorrow.

A reminder that the "Les Legumes" booklet is due tomorrow for presentations.
