Mrs. Just did an activity with the students this morning, discussing various tools that we use to help us. I was busy reading with students during this time, so missed all that she had to say, but the kids really enjoyed having her in the class and gleaned a lot from her activities - especially flying their paper airplane with their responses written on it! Ask your child about her session:)
After recess, Nicole joined us on our walk to Mount Cartier Court and helped with pulling the remaining plants from their beds. The students had fun doing this, cutting stems into bits, jumping on the refuse, and digging in the dirt.
After lunch, students participated in Buddy Reading, and then wrote a Journal entry for Growing Friends. The rest of the time they finished up various assignments, including "The Light Bulb", typing up "Knots on a Counting Rope", and working on their personal Coat of Arms.
