Good evening, already!  Where does the time go?  Here's a quick peek at our day:

After Advent calendar, we started our spelling / vocabulary quiz for the week.  Students also did their "Plangendas" before we did some art.

I just love it when students take something that we have done in class and recreate it or change it up in some way.  A thoughtful student recreated the Matisse gold fish picture we had done a week or so ago!  I love it!

Also, a student brought in a reusable bag that has been made from a recycled water bottle!  Yay!

The students did a directed drawing of the Grinch, to start.  Later, we painted the Grinch green.  When it was dry later in the day, we painted the background red.  Later still, the students went over parts of the Grinch with a Sharpie, adding hair.  Below are a few examples of some finished ones.

After recess, our class helped out the Kindergarten students when we all went to the Christmas Craft Fair.  A huge thank you to the P.A.C. volunteers who organize and run this wonderful event for the children!  A big "Thank you" also to the parents who created treasures for the students to buy, and treats for them to eat!

Somewhere in our day, we managed to finish up our Greenhouse Effect package when we took a look at Two Ozones, learning about the good ozone in the stratosphere, and the not-so-good one created by air pollution - smog.

That's it!  We were much busier than it sounds, with lots of extras taking place at recess and during lunch.
