Good evening, folks.  Here's a look at our day:

We read My Prairie Christmas this morning, considering a different part of our country and what it might be like moving to new place with little money or few belongings.  It spoke to what the true meaning of Christmas is.

We had three doors to open on our Advent calendar this morning!  After that, we dug into some new Greek and Latin Roots and associated words.  We did the crossword together as well.  There will not be a quiz on these words this Friday!

After recess, we practiced our song a couple of times.  The kids have this totally under control!  Aylee also read her journal from when she went to visit family in Stewart in northern B.C.

In Math, we played a rounding to the nearest ten game called  "I have... who has...?"  We did this twice, reducing our time in half the second time through.  Next, we checked our addition practice from last week.  Then, we started talking about the brain and learning et cetera so that was the end of that.

Following lunch, we went to the gym and watched some of the play while waiting for our turn to sing.  When we returned, we started the Christmas Around the World Canada package.  We read this together, looked at the map, added things, and had some good discussions.

Lastly, we had some time at the end of the day to play Professor Noggins "Technology" quiz cards.  This is always a good time.

After school the teachers decorated the gym, getting it ready for the Christmas play Thursday night.  Included are some photos of the art work that went up, including our Grinches:)
