I was out of town on Friday so no blog entry; I have no excuse for Thursday except that I had an after school meeting after which I forgot.This morning, we read more from Munro Leaf's book (1946) How to Behave and Why. We focused on the importance of being STRONG (ask your child for clarification) and FAIR. We have had some good conversations around these attributes - hopefully they are being taken to heart.
REMINDER!! Grade 3's have skiing tomorrow morning! Dress appropriately and bring a snack.
Following that, we took a look at this week's spelling words, the focus being short and long i words. We will continue working on this package and exploring spelling patterns tomorrow.
Later in the day, I read Oscar Wilde's The Selfish Giant.
We also painted a second coat on our mountains and had a bit of time to continue researching information about various biomes.
