Gilakas'la! I hope that many of you saw the full moon this morning. I later learned that it is called a Young Wolf Moon.
This morning during Language Arts time, students worked on a variety of assignments: Figurative Language Snow Globes, finishing incomplete assignments, and an independent Reading Comprehension passage.
During Math, we looked at "estimating time" by doing a variety of activities and timing them. Students also made two clocks for when we do Elapsed Time tomorrow.
This afternoon, I started reading a new novel to the class: IQBAL.
Then we did some more "Zentangle" designs for our upcoming art piece. Ms. Liz took the students for a quick walk to the beach so that they could catch some rays and make vitamin D!
Upon their return, we continued the Zentangle designs, did the recycling and composting for the school, and tidied up our classroom. For the most part, the students are really good at cleaning their desks and chairs, and tidying up after themselves.
Enjoy your evening, everyone.
